Just thought I'd post these....

So my parents asked me to make them some wedding cards as my dad usually asks my mom to 'throw one together' 5 minutes before they leave for a reception. I am SO grateful that they let me do this!!!
Anyways we bought the stuff on Saturday and I borrowed my mom's cutter to cut all the paper so that it wouldn't bend as much on the trip back. We got back to Millville around 10:00 on Sunday night after my fireside in West Valley and I got straight to work!!! I finished on Monday afternoon and am quite pleased with myself. When I am designing cards for others to give away I try to make a card that they would like and I think my parents will like these cards. Also where I had to make so many I tried to keep them all the same design. 54 cards later these are the reaps of my labors.

I think they turned out great and I can't wait to hear what my parents think!!!!! I am grateful that they love me enough to let me make them these!!! I enjoyed making them so much!! Thanks Mom and Dad for giving me this opportunity!!!
If you ladies want to do wedding cards we could work this in for January. Please give me your input of what themes you want to do. We could redo themes we have already done or whatever just let me know what you would like!!!

August Cards: BABY

Wow this month we had a great group of cards turned in! We only had 10 cards turned in BUT they sure were cute!!!
Lets start off with the cards from Anjanette Dahle this month. She decided to make 20 cards which any person is able to do if they would like. You will always get 20 cards back but I am not guaranteeing that you will get all different card! :) It always depends on how many people turn them in. Anjanette did a boy card and a girl card. They turned out very cute!

Next we have Marjorie Davis. Marjorie went with the cute layered sticker look for her cards this month. I like it alot.

Jill Gebert went ahead went with the sticker look as well. Stickers were a common theme this month and I think it is great especially for baby. Jill's cards turned out very cute this month!

Kim Winborg's cards were very simple yet extremely cute! She stamped a design on the cards and then HAND COLORED all of the cards. She dressed it up with some design paper and some stamps along the bottom and in the inside! Great Job Kim I Love them!!!

Chelsea Kerr did a very elegant card this month. What I want to know is how she does the raised up ink...is it embossing??? Hmmm we'll have to wait for her to comment for us to know!

Karyn Petersen did a cute pull out card! Very ingenious and creative! I love it!!! She did 5 girl and 5 boy so not sure what you got but they were both cute!!

Liz Hadfield came up with a very cute idea of a diaper. I think it is extremely cute and adorable!! Great Job Liz!!! She did 5 boy and 5 girl so hope you got one you needed!!!

The cards I did for Linda are very simple yet down to earth, something I think Linda would have come up with herself. I took a very decorative piece of flowered paper added some ribbon and used my cuttlebug to cut out a die for the purple square and embossed the yellow with the carriage! Please let me know if you see any of my cuttlebug stuff you like and would like to come and use it!!

My cards were very simple. I stamped "It's A..." with a cute picture of either a monkey or a lion on the front that I stamped using a stamp set from Close to My Heart. I then stamped Baby on the inside so that I the card could be used as a neutral card. To finish it off I hot glued on 3 buttons to add some embellishment!

Great Job ladies!!! I can't wait to see what you come up with for the month of September!!! Condolence/Inspirational! Remember if you need help with making your cards or coming up with ideas don't be afraid to give me a call or stop by!

July Card Group - BIRTHDAY!!!

Hello Laides!!! I wanted to let you know if you have something to post here let me know! :) You can email me your post and I will post it here for you! It can be for more than just our cards we can post your lovely creations that you have made in other ways!!! :) Just shoot me an email it is in the ward directory!
Anyways onto our July cards! I am so happy to say that we had a lot more 3D cards. I see such a difference in how the cards were designed and I loved seeing the difference!

This first card comes from Marjorie Davis. Once again a very versatile card. She does classy very well.

This card is from Karyn Peterson. I look at her cards and admire her creativity! This card is amazing!!!

It is just so adorable I have to comment again! Really HOW did you come up with the Karyn! You are a creative GENIUS!!!

We have a new lady who has joined our card group. Her name is Chelsea Kerr and she is Karyn Peterson's cousin. She saw all of our cute cards from June and asked if she could join. I didn't see a problem with it as long as I could just give her cards to Karyn so I said YES!! Her cards are very cute and creative. I LOVE the 3D she used in her cards.

This card comes from Liz Hadfield. She is so creative as well. I love her cards. I already have her baby cards and I can't wait to share them with you all!!!

This card came from Hollie Crocket. I LOVE the simplicity of it. It is so cute but the colors she chose scream BIRTHDAY!!!

This card comes from Catyse Easton. I love how her cards changed from last month to this month, although you can see a certain style coming through

This cute card comes from Jill Gebert. She hand colored all of those! Cute right?

This card comes from Elsie Kelly. I love the colors and design. It is one I might steal for future reference. And the paper looks as if it is hand stamped...I wonder if it is....want to share if it is Elsie?
This is Kim Winborg's card for the month. She is such a bright person so it doesn't surprise me that her cards are very bright! I love the colors and flowers!

Anjanette came up with this next card. She had several cards in the bunch so you may have gotten a different card from her but this is the one that I had.
This next card by Nicole Norris takes the cake...haha pun...you'll see why. It is very creative and I am in love with it!!!
This is the card that I did for Linda Perkes. I have tried to create a card that looks like Linda. She is so down to earth I couldn't help myself when I picked out the paper for her card. I used an olive green base paper with a on-lay paper that is a grayish color with a white flower design. I picked this paper up at the S.E.I outlet store in a pack of pre-cut paper, like scraps from one of their projects for 50 cents and I still have left overs after making 10 cards! If you haven't been to S.E.I outlet I highly recommend it!! It is great!!! I then took a piece of white paper and stamped the stamp I picked up at JoAnn's. I took the edges of this paper and edged them with Olive Green ink from Close To My Heart (Again Nicole here's a plug for you!). I was quite pleased with how it turned out!
This last card was mine. It took ALOT of work but in the end it is worth it. I cannot take credit for the design as I got it from my old Close To My Heart consultant Kris Keys. If you want directions on how to make this card please email me but you all got one and I think it is pretty self explanatory. If you have questions just ask me!! :)

Well Ladies this is it once again! I can't wait to see the rest of the Baby cards. I have a few but not enough so PLEASE get me your cards!!! :)

June - THANK YOU!!!

These are our cards from June. The theme was THANK YOU! And our cards turned out so very cute!!!

This beautiful card come to you from Catyse Easton. I think she did a very creative job!!
This card came from Jill Gebert. I love the flower and the colors. Very bright and adorable!

This card came from Anjanette Dahle. I love the shadowbox type idea with the flower.

This card came from Elsie Kelly. I love the chalk design! The ribbon and layers pull the card all together very well.
This card came from Kim Winborg. I love the bright colors and the bees. This is a very summery card that I can't wait to use.

This card comes to us from Hollie Crocket. I love the simplicity of it along with the colors as Purple is my favorite color!
This next design is very unique and I think it works very well. Liz Hadfield came up with this next card.

This next card come from Nicole Norris. She is a consultant for Close to My Heart which is a phenomenal scrap booking company. If you talk to her she can let you know what they have. They have a ton of acrylic stamps that if I had all the money in the world I would own every set...shoot I would own the whole catalog...but BACK to the card...

This cute card came from Karyn Peterson. She is so creative and I love what she has done. I love the playful paper. This is a thank you card I could see giving someone for a birthday present!!

This card comes from Janice Bodily and I love the design. It actually swings out at the brad. Very interesting...a design I might steal in the future!!

This card comes from Marjorie Davis. I love how simple this card is and how universal it is. You could use this as a thank you or basically anything someone would like!

This is one of the cards that I made. I am making 2 sets as I have a deal with Linda Perkes. I will make her cards for 3 months in exchange for a massage....I am fine with this as I love making cards!! :) I will go in detail of how I made the card so others will know and can use the template if they would like. I went with a simple white background and used a green paper with polka dots and embossed it using an embossing folder for the Cuttlebug by Provo Craft. I then took a die cut for the Cuttlebug and cut out the Thank You. The cards turned out great and simple.

This is the card that I designed as my own. I took once again a simple white background but then added a purple design paper that I picked up at Micheal's (they often have sales of 5 papers for $1.00) and made it slightly smaller than the white background. Then using purple ribbon I added an accent that looks nice with the yellow from the elephant's background. The elephant is not a stamp. It is actually an embossed piece of paper that I once again used my Cuttlebug for. I then took ink and inked the embossed lines to bring out the design. The elephant is then placed on the yellow and is not glued down to the paper but stuck down using mounting tape to give it more of a 3D look. The inside is also an embossing folder that says Thanks and I did the same as I did with the elephant and inked the lines.

Well that is it for our cards for the month of June! Sisters please post how you went about making your cards! If you comment with it others can read and they can learn new ways to be crafty! After all aren't we all about sharing???

Oh and a secret if you go to buy something at Micheal's, go to this website first www.robertscrafts.com You can print off 40 even sometimes 50% off coupons and Micheal's will honor them! It is a great tool!!!

Enjoy Ladies!!!
